In the small austrian town Zammelsberg you will find the society Dichtersteingemeinschaft - The Society for poets' Memorials, who's objective it is to erect momuments to well-deserved poets. On August 15th 1977 the momument to Knut Hamsun was unveiled in the presence of, amongst others, the chairman of the german Knut-Hamsun-Gesellschaft, Hilda Fürstenberg. |
