Here it is: From the E6 you drive towards the centre of Drøbak on road 152. You will first pass the market, then you will be driving on the Storgata.

In this beautiful and classic hotel Knut Hamsun stayed for some time in 1904 while constructing the villa Maurbakken. Here he also wrote parts of the novel Dreamers.
Room 213, where Hamsun stayed, was unfortunately booked as we visited the hotel, but the extremely kind and obliging manager told us, that the room is now decorated with photos from the shooting of the film The Telegrapher, which is based on Dreamers.
