What: Knut Hamsun's tractor Where: The Norwegian Museum of Horticulture, Dømmesmoen, 4885 Grimstad, Norway Here it is: From Grimstad and route E18you take road rv.404. From here the road takes off to the right towards Dømmesmoen. We recommend the museum. It comprises a
larger area with park, arboret, rose-garden, prehistoric
burial places as well as different collections connected
to horticulture AND Hamsuns tractor. Hamsun was quite
progressive when it came to his own farming. The tractor
is probably the first in the area. Having admired the tractor, one could proceed to Paradise and walk Hamsun's walks or you could drive 2 km further to Fjære church, a stone church from the 12th century with the Terje Vigen menhir in the cemetary. |
