What: Statue

Where: Skultbakken, 2680 Vågå, Norway

Here it is: In Otta you leave the E6 direction Lom on road rv.15. Some kilometers after Våga you turn left on road rv.51 towards Randsværk. After a few kilometers you see Skultbakken on your left hand side.
Alternatively you take the breathtaking road over Valdresflya, first on E16 to Fagernes, then on road rv.51 towards Lom/Otta. Over Valdresflya you will enjoy the panoramic vue over Jotumheimen's immensely beautiful alpine world. You could take a detour to the cottage Glitterheim, if the road is open or you may stop at Ridderspranget and dream of the stories of the medieval times. Just before you decend to the road rv.15 between Lom-Otta, Skultbakken lies on your right.

The owners of the farm Skultbakken Else and Thor Brun and the sponsors Unn og Birger Bostad rejoiced with us, as county governor Kirstin Hille Valle unveiled the statue with some well-chosen words on 2. August 2009 during the festival Hamsundagene in Lom and Vågå. Yes, he is the Wanderer himself!
The statue is made by the norwegian sculpturer Skule Waksvik and is 2,75 meters tall.
