Untill now none of our mountaineering expeditions have been financially supported neither commercially nor at public expense,

BUT

as you might imagine, such expeditions are immensely costly: Ropes, ice axes, freeze dried food, gas, tents (in total 3-4 TONS of equipment), sherpas, yaks, trucks to basecamp, mandatory liaison officer and last but certainly not least the permit for the ascent.
